People & Blogs: Keenan ↗
It makes me so happy to see what appears to be a resurgence in people making websites. I am filled with joy every time I go to someone's personal space and see how they choose to express themselves. I want to do everything I can to inspire more and more people to follow suit, and I am grateful for projects like this that continually introduce me to fascinating people, fascinating perspectives, fascinating expressions of their humanity.
This was such a fantastic interview, as expected. Keenan is one of the kindest, most genuine people you'll meet in your online travels. I'm excited about the possibility of a whole new audience of readers getting to experience their writing.
My kid says I'm playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus tonight soooo... I guess I'm playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus tonight?
I want to read My Dress-Up Darling, Vol. 13.
100 things you can do on your personal website ↗
This post is not meant to be a checklist so much as a source for inspiration. Perhaps one of the ideas below will take you down a delightful rabbit hole that leads you to new learnings. Perhaps an idea will bring you joy. Perhaps some ideas aren’t right for your site, but that still get you thinking.
I started reading My Androgynous Boyfriend, Vol. 2.
I finished reading Please Go Home, Miss Akutsu!, Vol. 8.
There's 3D printed junk all over my house now. I love it.
In defense of unpolished personal websites ↗
Is it okay to prioritize readability and learning over cutting-edge optimization on personal websites? I believe so. And if we want more people to have a personal website, I think more of us should consider doing the same.
I want to read I'm in Love with the Older Girl Next Door, Vol. 1.
I started reading Please Go Home, Miss Akutsu!, Vol. 8.
I finished reading I Married My Female Friend, Vol. 1.
Sony is experimenting with AI-powered PlayStation characters ↗
Sony’s advanced technology group has created an AI-powered version of Aloy from PlayStation’s Horizon games.
Fuck this shit. I wouldn't be caught dead playing some soulless husk of a game cranked out by whoever is left at Sony after upper management has cleaned house.
I added At Peace by Propagandhi to my music collection.
Foldable devices are the new 3D TVs.
I want to read Dandadan, Vol. 12.
I started reading I Married My Female Friend, Vol. 1.
I finished reading Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou: Deluxe Edition 4.

Can someone make a BookWyrm for video games?
Imagine if they made a game where Mario played golf.
I added Modern Air by AN HORSE to my music collection.
I added Fake Blood by Heart Attack Man to my music collection.
Tesla Owners Are Stuck In A Hell Of Their Own Making ↗
Putting a sticker on the back while continuing to drive and pay for a Tesla is exactly the kind of empty gesture you'd expect from a liberal in 2025, the most meaningless act possible in the face of something that calls for genuine action, and it deserves as much mockery and scorn as...driving a Tesla.
What You Should Do ↗
This isn’t about grand heroic gestures. It’s about the daily choice to be fully present in your own moral reality. It’s about deciding that, whatever comes, you’ll be able to face yourself in the mirror. It’s about recognizing that in times of systemic failure, the only reliable security comes not from institutions or financial reserves, but from the bonds we forge through authentic moral action and mutual aid.
Imagine having to rebadge your Tesla as a different make so people don't give you a hard time. 😂
America is Trapped in a Burning Tesla ↗
Imagine how a private business would react if it hired a supposed efficiency expert who quickly fired crucial employees while making grandiose claims about the money he’s saving, but kept releasing progress reports that were full of ludicrous errors. You wouldn’t keep him on; you’d have security escort him out of the building and immediately change all the locks.
I bought the .ca for my site because *waves hands around* all this.
So we (Canada) will now pay more for things we get from the US (one country). The US will now pay more for things they get from Canada, Mexico, AND China (3 countries). I mean, that seems like it’s a lot worse for them?
If you're not already watching Any Austin's videos, you're missing out. You don't even have to be a fan of games (but it helps).

I added Teens Of Denial by Car Seat Headrest to my music collection.
Nobody Wants a Nazi Electric Car ↗
Remember 2015? A Tesla parked in your driveway told your neighbours that you valued innovation, that you possessed an environmental conscience, that you had a stake in the future of the planet. The cars weren't perfect, but they meant something. They represented hope - for clean energy, EVs, and a world beyond fossil fuels. That Tesla is dead. Elon Musk killed it. He took it out back and strangled it with his sweaty, bare hands.
Monster Hunter Wilds so goooood.
Is 2025 the Year of the ‘Design Engineer’? ↗
What is a Design Engineer and is it the right name? Let's explore this role and it's contributions to Design Systems.
Can they shut down Microsoft Teams next?
Be proud of the things you make and share them.
Look, I think we all just want to know if Ditto’s in the new Pokémon game or not.
I'm Mike, a designer from the centre of Canada. I often post about the interaction between technology and our daily lives, or about things that are *significantly* more enjoyable, like video games and comics.
Why I Like Designing in the Browser ↗
It can be surprising for new clients to see just how much of our design process happens in HTML, CSS and (light) JavaScript. While we do plenty of ideation exercises, sketching, wireframes, mockups and more, we like to get our hands dirty in the browser as soon as we can.
This is a great article, I'm so happy to see others working this way. I've taken this approach with almost every personal project and freelance gig I've had in recent years. For me, knowing that what I design will live on the web, it's much easier to design in place and see it live.
Humane ↗
I hope that in the future, people can see red flags more clearly and that journalists identify them much earlier, without giving companies the benefit of the doubt. It’s better to be skeptical until proof is presented.
I added Everything Touching by Tall Ships to my music collection.
So what if I spent my Saturday 3D printing shelves to organize my manga?
Streamer completes hitless run of seven FromSoft Soulslikes without leveling up ↗
After his first level 1 God Run attempt two months ago, Nico's efforts culminated in a roughly 11-hour multi-day marathon run over the weekend, which saw Nico break down in tears at the end of the ordeal.
Your Site Is a Home ↗
This residence is available at a URL, on the open web, that people are able to view. This is your website.
This Is the Age of the Coward ↗
The absolute gutlessness of it exposes the rot at the core of corporate America. Every CEO who authorized these retreats, every board that nodded along, and every executive who drafted these surrender notes are all telling us exactly who they are.
The PlayStation Network Outage Is Modern Gaming In A Nutshell ↗
Nothing needs to work this way. Nobody benefits from not being able to access single-player games and features when servers go down. There is no upside to logging into multiple game services at once that outweighs the downsides.
The Art of Making Websites ↗
Ultimately, a website isn’t just what you ship. It’s about who you are — and who you become — on the way to shipping.

Au Revoir Micro.blog ↗
I've left Micro.blog after 7.5 years. I backed the Kickstarter, blogged furiously and frequently, and mostly had fun. But it was time to leave and seek other grounds.
